org Job Description Position Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and working in conjunction with the Chief Financial Officer, the Compliance Officer will be responsible for ensuring that all Federal, State, and local rules and regulations are complied with.
This includes making sure all licenses, permits and registrations are completed annually as well as submitting reimbursement requests and reports for Federal, State and Local grants.
A background in accounting and expertise in Microsoft Excel is required.
The Compliance Officer position also performs the following specific functions:
General description:
Track, complete and ensure that all of Farm Share's Federal, State and Local annual licenses, permits and registrations are kept up to date and completed on time.
Manage and track the renewal and providing of any paperwork necessary to maintain Farm Share's liability, property and health insurance.
Manage and coordinate insurance/licensing/registration audits and inspections.
Manage and track real and personal property tax assessments for all facilities.
Verify that all FDOT/DOT permits are renewed and in good standing.
Verify that all vehicle registrations are completed, renewed and in good standing.
Work with Farm Share's CFO to compile documents and complete annual audits for all programming.
Compile, verify and submit Farm Share's monthly reports and reimbursement requests for state and federal grant programs.
Assist Farm Share's CFO in preparing and processing Farm Share's payroll Maintain a master real and personal property inventory list for all of Farm Share's property Requirements:
A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance or strong Accounting background Good analytical, reading and writing skills Attention to detail and must be very organized Good communication skills both oral and written Good computer skills and proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
Employment offer may be contingent upon completion of an interview, fitness evaluation, physical, drug screen, and/or background investigation.
